love Rico downnnn, i first discovered her in 2018 right before she was part of XXL freshman class with Meg (Doja was also popping off at the time too) I be wanting to take over her marketing and PR my damn self sometimes because i wishhhh she was talked about as much as them! so many black girls are punk rock princesses like us and i would love to see her be more well received by the masses!!
This matters so much actually. I know must of the lyrics and I remember seeing her perform it live. I love the lyrics "she said I'm an asshole, what's new/ if it's fuck me, then it's fuck you." There's tendency to try to be nice to people, I especially have one as a southerner, but sometimes people need to be treated with the same energy. Would not have used "sp*zzin'" though.
i love how you incorporated so many different lyrics into really explaining rico’s essence! i feel like nobody talks about her and she’s so fucking cool, one of my favorite artists ever. she makes me feel like being angry and black is completely okay and encouraged!
My favorite thing about Black punk women/femmes is there’s no box —- we’re all so different. Being able to DIY fashion and push your own messages through your creativity is such a power move. Love this post!

This does not matter at all but you inspired me to listen to Rico Nasty and I'd love to hear your thoughts on Let it Out? Also great read 10/10 <3
